Getting Started

First, you will need to create an account to start working with Horizon. You can also take a look at some of our public spaces if you are looking for read-only access. Finally, if you know somebody who already works with Horizon you can probably ask for an invite to a workspace.

Horizon is currently in beta. This means you'll have to get in touch with us in order to get an initial login, or wait for an invite from another user.

Once You're Logged In

Once you're logged into Horizon you'll see an account dashboard that looks something like this:

The Horizon Dashboard

Your horizon dashboard will provide a few helpful hints on how to unlock Horizon features. By default, users on the 'free tier' can make maps, upload some data and publish with a few reasonable quotas for extra actions like using AI, uploading images and audio, and more.

On the sidebar you'll see some account settings and features split into three tiers:
- Thema (for text processing, organizing sources and libraries)
- Horizon (for geospatial maps, spaces, and more)
- E2E (for orchestration and complex workflows, data pipelines, etc)

User Settings and API Keys

Your Horizon account settings consist of two tabs: API Keys and Settings. With API Keys, you can generate API keys. This allows you to programmatically access and export all of your Horizon resources, and allows you to integrate Horizon with other systems. Coding knowledge is NOT required to use Horizon!

Your Settings page contains usage quotas and billing information. Your usage quotas track your usage of key Horizon resources like API calls, data storage and transfer limits, and more. Entering your billing information will double your quotas, even if you aren't planning on upgrading to a paid tier any time soon!
