Adding Sources, Feeds, and Collections
This page will teach you how to use Horizon to monitor sources like RSS feeds, social media, and webscraped content. From your dashboard or from the toolbar, under the 'Thema' tag, click on your 'sources' page.
Sources are entites that you can attribute information to. 'Reuters' is a source. A specific person is a source. A source might have a blog, a twitter account, and multiple RSS feeds, but it is only one source. A feed on the other hand is a specific channel of information that you are following and monitoring. A specific twitter advanced search configuration is a feed. A single source that you are monitoring might have an RSS feed, a feed of new website entries, and a twitter feed.
Collections are multiple feeds which are named and synthesized by you, the Horizon user. A collection might include information from multiple feeds.
These are all managed form the Sources tab.

Switch between feeds (RSS or twitter), sources, and collections on the main sources page.
Using Horizon as a Feed Reader
You can read content from your feeds from within the Horizon application. Clicking on a collection, you can also read your aggregated feeds as a single feed. Though Horizon is not designed to be a feed reader per se, you can always manage the unstructured text input to your Horizon project as a feed reader. The end goal of Horizon though, is not to replace your feed reader but to greatly expand your ability to extract data, produce content, and combine information that comes across your feed with your published work.
Collections and feeds can be processed with plugins or searched for valuable structured data--next we'll focus on importing public datasets that Horizon provides for all users.
